July 2020: EML signed  agreements  with Board of Investments (BOI) of  Sri Lanka to  conduct  an  Environmental Impact Assessment  (EIA) on the proposed ‘Textile Zone’  at Eravur, Batticaloa, in the Eastern Province of  Sri Lanka. The ‘Zone’ consists of 24 textile factories and covers an area of 200 Acs.
